The comic very much has the humor of the TV show, but I felt like that humor hits better in the show where you can hear and see the nuances of the actors' deliveries and also a lot of the humor ("haha, he's sexist" and "haha, it's a man in a dress" especially) has not aged well. There was a a bit of a feel of making sure every single recurring character from Xena got at least mentioned. After both Joxer and Autolycus showed up, I was just waiting for Salmoneus to make his appearance. (It was Callisto rather than Salmoneus that showed up though.) The rest of the comic is enjoyable enough, but the unpleasant bits are unpleasant enough--despite only taking up a handful of pages--that I wouldn't recommend this.
