An excellent survey of the Battle of Ticonderoga that took place on July 8, 1758. Excellent maps, both modern and original, augment a detailed account of the forces involved and the flow of the battle. A terrific resource for anyone planning a staff ride to Ticonderoga. ( ) Excellent account of colonial wars in North America; For the french well depicted conflicts and styles of command between metropolitan troops and colonial Canadians. For the Anglo-Americans, a mixture of bad luck, improvisation and ill-advised bravery. Unfortunately in spite of Montcalm's Spartan-like troops, September 1759 was just around the corner and the rising tide was unstoppable then. näyttää 3/3 ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
