So I understand that Butcher is untouchable because the dirt he has on Homelander that will be released when he dies, will bring Vought so far down they and we can't be having loss of profit. But in the following issue they talk about bringing down all five of them, who were there. Vought could have let them all get massacred by the G-Men and then mopped up after that, or even take a few of The Boys with them to send a message but they didn't. Maybe I'm missing something obvious but it seems like the odds are so stacked against The Boys, and Vought showed how many cards they have to play and then... didn't play any of them. Other than that, I liked the twist on the X-Men and the kids at the end were very tragic. Wee Hughie gets to go undercover with the "junior" G-Men and finds some very nasty secrets in the darkness of the G-Mansion. Although the idea with this volume is good - to see how the G-Men start and are trained - most of it becomes some odd and nasty spin on Animal House. To me, there is too little The Boys and way too many different superheros and superhero groups to keep track of - I have a hard time caring when the storyline is so frazzled. It's a shame as this series has been very interesting so far. Not sure yet if I'll continue reading. näyttää 5/5 ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu

They're outcasts. Renegades. Rogues. Outsiders. They're the world's most profitable superheroes. They're the G-Men. But all is not well with mysterious millionaire John Godolkin's band of misfits. Silver Kincaid, one of the original G-Men, has just committed suicide in the most public and grotesque way imaginable. That's not good news for Vought-American's number one franchise, with G-Force, G-Coast, G-Style, G-Wiz, the G-Brits and the G-Nomads all depending on their slice of the G-pie. There's far too much at stake for anyone to go poking around the G-Mansion now. Who knows what dirty secrets might be waiting down there in the dark? Kirjastojen kuvailuja ei löytynyt. |

In the Boys Universe, there's a giant pile of superhero teams. There's the Seven of course, but also all manner of just as twisted other ones out there.
This time around, we have basically the equivalent of the X-Men: the G-Men/G-Force/G-Wiz/G-etc. All centered around a single Charles Xaviar alike with a somewhat more twisted background, who 'adopts' child superheroes and raises them to be on his team.
So of course, we'll Let's send Hughie in to infiltrate the G-Fraternity!
Turns out they're pretty good kids, just twisted by their upbringing and fiercly loyal. And of course they'll find out and things will go terribly.
Quite the ending. ( )
