Definitely the best Harry Potter fanfiction I've ever had the chance of reading! Thinking back, I must've read this at the time that Claire has already started on the second book of this now famous trilogy. Her work is what got me a tad more obsessive about Harry Potter than a person normally has the right to be.

When an accident in Potions class turns Harry into Draco and Draco into Harry, each is trapped playing the part of the other. Romance, mistaken identities, "Really Cunning Plans", evil bake sales, a love triangle, and snogs galore.

Laugh out loud moments are abundant in this fanfiction: prime example would be that of Goyle who sleeps with a night light on, wears pink frilly underwear since it makes him feel pretty and is secretly in-love with Crabbe! There are also "modern" mergings of the Muggle world and that of what we know and love. Did you know that Fred & George were able to rescue their family from financial ruin by investing in the (MSE) Magical Stock Exchange via the stocks of their joke shop?

I love the dialogues and the quick wit displayed by all, especially Draco:
Draco. "Tell me: when did the Boy Who Lived become The Boy Who Sulked?"

Draco’s now-green eyes sparkled with malice behind Harry’s glasses. “Are you sure?”
“Quite sure” Harry snapped his anger building. “You can take me off the evil mailing list Malfoy, I am not interested.”

Before you begin to get utterly confused, please remember that Claire's story takes a rather unusual turn as the students enter year five of their Hogwarts education, so this trilogy's definitely an AU (Alternate Universe). Unfortunately, this fanfiction is no longer available online, being asked to be taken down by the author herself. But if you're really curious, ask me for a copy. You won't regret it.

For those who thought they really knew the family relationship of the Malfoys, think again. Here you'll glimpse the story of Narcissa's past and of why she married and stayed with Lucius after all this time. Does Sirius have feelings for Narcissa and vice versa? And what is an Epicyclical Charm; why must it be protected at all costs? Why is it that only Harry and Draco are the ones who can touch a sword that once belonged to Salazar Slytherin? Who are the Magids in this tale?

Lastly, for those who have been rooting for Harry & Hermione love interesf at the start of the canon "Harry Potter series" then this is for you.
She stared at him. He was so pale that his eyes seemed the only color in his white face. He said, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry I never told you I loved you. I'm sorry I waited until it looked like I might lose you before I did anything. I'm sorry I lied to you when you asked me if I loved you. I just never thought of it like that. You've always been like a part of me, like how I can do magic. I never sit around thinking about how I love being able to do magic, what it means to me. It's just a part of my life. But if I lost it -- if I couldn't do magic anymore --" He broke off. "I'm not like Malfoy. I don't make fancy speeches. But I know what I feel."


Take heed that Draco is ready to catch Hermione once Harry made the mistake of letting her go:
She raised her head and looked at him again. He had that look on his face. Harry's
determined look.
"I love you," he said. "And I don't just love you, I'm in love with you. And I have been for ages, I just didn't know it, not really."
"But I do love you, Harry," she said. "I love you more than anything. I love you so it scares me."
But she shook her head. "I don´t want to be scared any more," she said, and started moving away from him, back towards the car.
"He doesn't love you like I do," he said to her back. "He doesn't know you like I do."
"No," she said. "And he can't hurt me like you can."
She walked away.

Throughout the three stories, the reader will discover that there is more than a physical connection between the two boys. Inasmuch as Harry is connected to Voldemort through his scar, he is now connected to Draco via the failed Polyjuice Potion. For the first time in his life, Draco finds what it is like to be loved as a friend and as a brother. Risking their lives for each other in the quest to destroy Lord Voldemort and Salazar Slytherin, they become dependant on each other.
