The spider crawls along the delicate silken threads, sometimes hanging, sometimes spinning, sometimes staring back... Great use of words to paint a picture in one's mind. This is simple story of a boy who closely examines and kind of befriends a yellow orb spider. His observations are eloquently noted and some figurative language is used. The spider builds and rebuilds her amazing web. The boy goes home with fond memories of the spider and alludes to her in his dreams. There is a quality end note with many facts about spiders. The illustrations are beautiful. This could start of a science unit on spiders of bugs. Best used with elementary or middle school. ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
