This book is a good example of fantasy because the reader can really imagine the dog having a mind of its own but in reality we do not know what dogs are thinking. The story is also a good example having a flat character. McDuff the dog is hungry for food. That is all the reader knows about him. There is nothing else known about the dog- he does not share his feelings. Age appropriate: primary. Media: watercolor. ( ) Age Appropriateness: Primary Genre: ? Realistic fiction Media: Watercolor Characterization: McDuff, the main charater in this story is a dog, but he does not take on human characteristics, such as talking, like the humans in the story, so it is not a fantasy. The reader does not learn much about McDuff through the story, so he is a static and flat character. This story is just about one event in this dog's life, so it does not give us much insight into the character of who this dog really is. Review: McDuff is a dog who goes with his human family to another person's house and ends up fighting with their cat until the entire house is destroyed. näyttää 2/2 ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
