First off, I've said it before, and I'll say it again: these early books are quite colorful! The only person to swear, of course, is the main male character, who swears in front of his children. I'm guessing it's eluding to the fact that he's not a Christian since that's really the focus of this story. The other focus, which again eludes to his lack of faith, is premarital sex. The female character of the book professes her virginity and saving herself for marriage, but the male character makes it known that he does indeed want to make love to her. This, of course, may sound like a very secular book; and like I said these earlier books do seem more secular than some of the later ones...

In spite of all this, I must give it a five. It was very, very good. I loved how the author handled the man. He would definitely be a challenge for any old-fashioned gal. I really enjoyed how they both came around. I liked the preacher's response to her "problem" near the end, and how the Wyatt and Traci came together in the end...very realistic and down to earth. It's hard trying to live "old-fashioned" morals in the twenty-first century!!! Totally relating to her struggles...

So pick this book up and read it! And those boys...oh my! I'm glad Traci was finally able to settle them down to be nice gentlemen! ( )
