The author, Heilgman, makes the book very interesting because she creates it as a narrative, but also incredibly informational. Heilgman tells a story of a classroom that keeps a butterfly in a jar. The author walks the readers through the different stages of the life of a butterfly, all while continuing with the narration from the "classroom" in the story. What I really enjoyed about this book is the deep amount of vocabulary. The vocabulary is explained in such a way that is tangible for young readers. This would be a great book to include in the classroom during an animal science unit. It could be a great way to make a life-cycle unit because Heiligman in-depthly describes the butterflies' life cycle. ( ) The book Caterpillar to Butterfly is a book about the life cycle of a caterpillar. A caterpillar wanders into an elementary school classroom. The class then captures the caterpillar and watches it turn into a butterfly, but eventually the class lets the butterfly go. This book is told from a child’s point of view which can make it more interesting and engaging for kids. This is a great book to use for teachers who need to teach their students about life cycles, metamorphosis, and so on. I like this book because it is an easy read with great visuals and even better information. ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
