This book was a mix of things that happen in real life, such as with the boy's father and fairy tales. I think this journey is about a father that has left the family and the mom is trying to keep the boy's mind off it by sending him to grandma's who is not doing too well herself. This was a really good book, with good graphics. ( ) I enjoyed the way our class interacted with this book. I think it would be a great way to ask students on each page what they think will happen next. To ask them if they recognize the other characters in the story from other stories they may have read or been told. The images were a bit hard to read if you have students sitting a good distance away from where you are reading this from. This is definitely a book that need to be read in small group so that every child can have a turn to be able to look at the picture properly. This book follows a boy who is going to go to his grandma's place and this book follows a style of little red riding. In the book it portrays different folktales as he goes to his grandma's house. I really enjoyed this story because of the fact that it is very different from other books portraying various folktales in the story. This story keeps you at the edge of your chair and keeps you guessing what will happen next. This British author did a great job with the story and I enjoyed this book very much. Everybody should read this book! When he woke up he found his dad was gone, he really missed him but then his mom asked him to take a cake to his grandma which made him happy. His mom told him not to go into the forest but that was the quickest way so he did. He met a lot of strange people along the way he got scared and ran the rest of the way. When he got to grandma's house he found his dad there too. Then him and his dad returned home. Anthony Browne did not dissapoint with his unusual story telling. At first it seemed like the dad was gone for good but then it turned out to be a happy story after all. I really liked. the use of color in this book the forest was black and white and the rest was in color. ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
