Exactly like the illustrations on Trader Joes products, except the humor is a little less food based and has more dead babies. Also it hates hipsters for some reason which just makes hipsters like it more. ( )

As expected given the web comic it comes from, this collection of strips is hilariously random. The additions to the book -- advertisements, interviews, and random bits of stuff -- had me laughing out loud so often that by the end of the weekend at the lake, all of my friends had poked their nose into the book to see what the fuss was about. Hilarious comic strips from David Malki, based on his collection of engravings. Quaint humour, brilliantly timed non-sequiturs. ( )

A lovely presentation of Malki's fine web comic in a hardbound print format. The author has taken great pains to produce a work that feels like a piece of art, from the gold printed spine to the antiqued pages. For presentation alone, this book is worth picking up, but the book does also contain some original content that never appeared on the Wondermark site. Some color strips and amusing explanations as well as guest comics and unfinished material make this more complete than the once a day web comic from which it draws. All in all, an excellent piece of work. ( )
