This biography was very informational on the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder. The art in the book are real photographs of Laura growing up. This book summarizes her life. In 1867, she was born in Wisconsin. Her father was a pioneer and always looking for a better way of life. She wrote books about her life that later became famous as the "Little House" books. Her family moved around alot and she was the oldest of three sisters. Laura really loved life on the prarie which inspired her books. She married Almanzo Wilder in 1885 and they had a daughter named Rose. Laura Ingalls Wilder died in 1957 at the age of 90. The Rocky Ridge Farm is her home and now museum that people visit and remember Laura today. The reading level for this book is probably third or fourth grade because some of the content and concepts are difficult. There is a short glossary at the end defining some of the words used.
