pretty good romance / thriller with both main characters working through personal emotional issues before they are ready to admit to love. Love the parrot and the quirky stores on the pier. ( )

The plot didn't keep me guessing but I enjoyed the characters' eccentricities. This is the first time that I have ever heard of a man being "too big." Not what you are thinking. Quick read; worth taking your time to read it. ( )

When mysterious fellow tenant Hadyn Stone dies, his shop is taken over by Elias Winters, the mysterious owner of Far Seas Incorporated. Though others assume that Elias must be involved in big money plans for the landing, she is attracted to him and together the two probe murders linked to a spaceship cult. She'll help Elias learn that not all of life is contained in the nearly extinct martial art/philosophy he learned from Stone. Although, as is typical with Krentz's work, the solution to the mystery is unconvincing, Charity and Elias generate a lot of heat as they heal each other's demons. ( )
