He's bringing horrible things to put under the tree and doing terrible things to sully Santa's name and reputation. Emmy and Lottie are the only ones who can save Santa and Christmas. Written in poem form, this is one of the funniest reads for Christmas. I laughed so hard. I loved it. This is modern Christmas classic! Boys will enjoy it as well as girls and adults. I never expected something like this from Dean Koontz but it is worth picking up and re-reading each Christmas. It's fun! The one aspect of this story that I enjoyed was that it had a good story line. I liked the idea of an evil twin with Santa Claus. Even though I did like the plot I do feel that the evil twin concept in books and movies can be overused. I also liked the illustrations. I felt that they were very detailed in the way the illustrators drew the facial features and the facial expressions. On the cover when they show the evil Santa Claus, you could see every wrinkle in his mischievous face as well as a sign of evil that goes through the look in his eyes and his evil grin. This book is adorable! Dean Koontz took his readers through a rhyming story of Santa’s evil twin trying to ruin Christmas. I love how this story is like a modern day version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The story was engaging, humorous, and a great way for the author to describe the typical Christmas traditions without listing facts. For example one paragraph states, “So someday soon, they’ll put up a tree. Why only one? Maybe two, maybe three! Deck it with tinsel and baubles bright. It’ll be an amazing and wonderful sight. String colored lights out on the roof- pray none are broken by anything’s hoof.” The illustrations are also incredible, showing realistic pictures with great detail. The main messages of this book would be bravery and Christmas traditions. ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
