Kim Kennedy's, Mr. Bumble is a great story of a clumsy bees journey toward becoming a great flyer and pollen collector. Mr. Bumble returns to the hive each day with an empty dented bucket, empty of pollen because it has spilled. He is frowned upon by the hives queen and his peers. Mr. Bumble has all but given up being a pollen collector for the queen when he stumbles upon a group of fairy's who take him under their wings and give him the flying adventure of his life. They teach him how to be a great flyer, and with practice Mr. Bumble has finally impressed the queen with a bucket overflowing with pollen. The story is a great lesson that perseverance can get you far, there is a "humble beginning to every flight". A great store for a child or adult of any age. ( )
