On her way to school Goldie Socks comes across a house made of books deep in the forest. She must find books (and a reading spot) that are not too hard, not too easy but JUST RIGHT. This is the story of a family of bears that love books so much that they live in a cottage made of books! Goldie Socks enters their book house to find shelves and shelves of books, and she begins searching for just right books. She find big books, small books, non fiction, chapter books, and more. She uses the five finger rule to see if books are a good fit for her. Goldie then searches for the perfect place to read them, until she finds a cozy tent that belongs to Baby libearian. The three libearians return home for lunch to find missing books, messy chairs, and finally Goldie Socks reading in the tent. Goldie Socks looks up to see the three libearians smiling at her. They all join her in the tent and Papa libearian reads a story to everyone. This charming book is an easy read aloud and allows for a great discussion on how it is different than the original story, which hits the CCSS, as well as how to chose a just right book (beginning of the year library lessons). The book is bigger so the pictures are easier to see when doing a read aloud. The flow and humor is perfectly suited for wiggly K-1 classroom, and lends itself for discussion for 2-3 grade students. The pictures are engaging and this rendition of Goldilocks is great when comparing. There is even some humor for adults "the temptation was more than she could bare" ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
