I like this book because it looks at the lives of four real Japanese children. It teaches a lot about Japanese culture and what is important to them. This book is great for diversity. ( ) This is a factual book about Japanese culture. The book highlights four kids daily lives and includes photograph style pictures. This book reminds me that our country is very culture-less comparatively speaking. The kids in the book are enjoying their lives very much but to our standards they live a hard life. They had a nice photo and write up about the site of the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb site. I would use this book to expose kids to another culture at any age/grade. I can also the a-bomb info to be included in a study about war or peace. There is also a book Sadako the little girl mentioned in this book in regard to the bomb. This book could lead to a study about Sadako. The extensive martial arts training is also striking. Boys would enjoy this book, the style is short stories as they change characters and incliudes LOTS of martial arts pictures. näyttää 2/2 ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
