I would like to start this off with I have not ever had a stroke before. When I clicked this so I could win it I only saw it was a activity book. But with that said I still enjoyed it. I love books like this. I do believe it would help stroke victims of anyone else. I recommend to all. ( )

I really wish this book was around when my dad suffered stroke in early 1999. He could have greatly benefited from this book and as his main caregiver (until his passing in 2010) I would have enjoyed helping him with it.
With 144 pages, this large print workbook has varied difficulty levels, Answer Key in back and very user-friendly. It would make a great little gift that can help in a big way! Over 100 activities for: memory, attention, language skills, fine motor skills, speech, and problem-solving.
Matching puzzles, coloring, mazes, crossword, word searches and Sudoku puzzles. There is a progressive difficulty to many puzzles/activities.
Well-designed, easy to use. Pick and choose any activity you like. Very inspirational and encouraging.
Some of the images are a bit too childish but for a stroke patient, simple images may be just what they need and are capable of at a point in their recovery.
Tempting as it may be, I am resisting the urge to do some of the puzzles ( it can be a fun activity book for non-stroke people as well!) as I wish to leave the book pristine and unmarked so that I can then donate it to one who needs it. ( )

Although this book was created for Aphasia and Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation, it would be useful for the aging brain as well. I absolutely love the variety of puzzles and the way they are organized in the book. Large print makes it easier to read and enjoy. The different levels of difficulty provide challenges from beginner to advanced, something for everyone. ( )

This had a wide variety of activities for someone to do. They were not kept together by activity so it keeps people engaged and wanting to complete the next activity. It worked on memory, coordination, and mental activities. My only concern is that there were some topics that I don't feel the average person would know even before having a stroke. It seems that asking them to remember words about technology might be frustrating, especially if presented in a way that makes them believe they used to know it. ( )

I have been using it with my grandmother who had a brain bleed in January. The activities in this books is helping her to get her mind active and helping her use her right hand which was damaged from the brain bleed that she had. ( )
