While I received a somewhat clunky version of the e-ARC, I will assume that this will not be the case for those who actually buy the book, so my opinions on that will not be noted or necessary for this review.
If you're looking for a decent book with good, factual geography trivia in it, this is definitely that. I found some of it to be extremely easy, but that isn't going to be the case for everyone, so I think this would be good for lots of people to test their trivia. ( )

This was a nice little quiz book about U.S. geography. It had many interesting questions. It was awkward having to scroll down for the answers, & it would’ve been better if the questions were repeated in the answer key. Still, a nice book for some trivia games. 3 stars. ( )

I received a free copy of this book from Jan Hopkins via LibraryThing. Wow! This book was awesome! There were 3 books 15 quizzes with an assortment of easy, average and challenging in each quiz. This book would be great for anyone wanting to practice/or learn geography. This would be a great book for a party quiz night. I enjoyed the book and learned a lot about geography at the same time. ( )

The message received 8 May 2023 within LibraryThing from one Janet Hopkins asked this reviewer to provide "an honest" review of her book 'Fun Trivia About U.S. Geography" using a "tiny-url" link to access the electronic format of the "text" which was at "Docs-google-com" and another "tiny-url" link to post a review at the Amazon shopping website. There the "honest" review is to be added and also the reviewer will be able to download a PDF? copy of the book. When I visited the Amazon site via the tiny-url I could find no access to download this title.

The Hopkins message closed with an apology for the "delay in getting back to you." When one opens the LibraryThing link to 'Janet Hopkins' one finds that this LT 'member' has been such since 4 March 2023 but has no contact information nor any titles in her LT collection.

Now for an honest review of Fun Facts and Trivia About U.S. Geography.

The Google doc e-text scrolls downward thru 69 pages so-called. To the left of the scroll is an online outline that begins with "Introduction" and runs downward thru three sets of Quizzes with Answers each numbered 1 to 5. Oh, but first permit this reviewer to give here the "title-page" tile of the Hopkins book:

The outline lists three "Books" which more accurately are 'Sections' of the book. Then again it is probable that publisher, author, compiler Hopkins may have previously self-published one or more of these sections as separate "books".

The entire book / text / scroll is a lesson in obfuscation. The question and answer format is classical in the sense of Socratic or Thomistic rhetoric and the book (or books) indeed is/are trivial.

Examples of "Quiz [i.e., Question] and Answer from Book I:

1. What four states border Alabama? / / Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and Tennessee border Alabama.

2. What is the capital of Arkansas? / / Little Rock is the capital.

3. What is the highest point in the U.S.? / / Denali in Alaska is 20,308 feet high and is the third most prominent peak in the world.

All well and good, excepting the lack of confirmational references to any other published official records or maps. If one answers question / quiz #3 with 'Mount McKinley' is this also a correct answer? Is it possible that the author, compiler, self-publisher may be relying on the Wikipedia for foundational facts? One may surmise in any case.

My LT rating, honestly, is two 'stars' for effort. ( )

This adorable trivia book is a great way to learn US geography facts while competing with your friends to see who knows more! I plan on using it to quiz my daughter when she’s older!
