Wholesome with an admirable message. The illustrations are full of light and glow, even on the dark spreads. They also show a nice range of children in the company of other children, as well as on their own. There's a mixture of skin tones represented, though all the children are the same size, age, and basic shape.

I love sentiments such as "Sing because God gives you breath, not to get awards." Prayers "to do the hard thing even when you're knocky-kneed" resonate, though some readers may have a tougher time reading aloud lines about prayers being "fun, like ice cream swirled" for such things as a child's sowing good seeds while wearing "a silly garden hat" or writing "the next great symphony with only [a] kazoo."

I am adding an additional 1/2 star to my rating for my 8-year-old's sake--she likes the book a lot and believes it is a worthy read-aloud to a young child.

This is a beautifully illustrated children's picture book that is inspiring and encouraging. The story is written as a prayer and lets children know they can take chances in life, have adventures and be kind all while God is there to help guide and watch over them. The story is told in rhyme so it would be a fun book to read aloud to young children. The illustrations are so vivid and colorful. I highly recommend this picture book. This is such a sweet, beautiful book! Good, beautiful, and true. This is now on my shortlist of books to gift to all the kids I love.

This is a cute book with a lot of theology written throughout the simple prayers. You can tell that she was writing specific prayers with bible verses in mind. The illustrations are cute too. It speaks a lot of trusting God, following Him, and living for His glory while doing all the things of life. She really did do a good job of talking about many different parts of life and framing it within a biblical worldview, all done for His glory for we are His.

Oh my goodness. This is the first book I've read of Hannah C. Hall's and I hope more come my way. They beautifully paired Catalin Ardeleanu to illustrate her work. This book is a prayer from adult to child. She prays for the little boy to take the narrow road, to show mercy, to love all skin colors, be secretly generous, and much more. Each page is a conversation starter between the reader and young listener. Excellently done!
