Tämä arvostelu kirjoitettiin LibraryThingin Varhaisia arvostelijoita varten.I've always had a fascination with corruption and economic crime, to the extent that instead of reading this book, I should have been writing my dissertation for my MSc in Economic Crime. This is really a really interesting story. Initially I was less than impressed with the authors as the job Xavier Justo took with PetroSaudi had so many red flags but then I realised a) I'm a judgemental cow and b) I have hindsight. The authors went through an incredibly hard time. Imprisoned unjustly in miserable conditions separated from his wife and child for whistleblowing one of the biggest financial scandals ever, Xavier Justo had to survive. On the other hand Laura Justo had the more difficult task of a) working out what was going on and b) finding a way of combatting it. All this while looking after their wee boy and trying to support Xavier. She's the real hero of the story. I'm glad I read this book. At times it wasn't the most beautiful prose but it felt real. ( )
