In my opinion, this is a very thoughtful book. This book requires the reader to think about who they ask important questions to and what these important questions are. The main characters in this book are a young boy, a dog, a monkey, and a stork. I enjoyed these characters because this book can be more applicable to children since it personifies animals. The young boy is a very well developed character because he changes throughout the story, realizing the answers to his questions were the simplest and most obvious answers. This plot line is very good for children because it teaches the reader to be patient, the answer will make itself apparent. Finally, the writing of this story was very knowledgeable but was sometimes too wordy. A young listener might get bored if this story was being read to them. The pictures were very detailed, but the colors seemed dark and grey and gloomy. I believe brighter pictures would keep the reader more interested. This book had a main idea focusing on patience and how the thing you should focus the most on will become obvious, which is important for young children to understand. I would definitely recommend reading this book to students. ( )
