Geoffrey Stevens put this book together after Flora MacDonald passed away. It is based on taped interviews with her, and on text drafted by Mr. Stevens and edited by Ms. MacDonald. Therefore, what we have is a memoir -- a life story largely in her own words. At times repetitive, and a little too much of "more on that later..." Some inaccuracies, like failing to mention that the Stone of Scone was returned to Scotland in 1996. But all that pales in comparison to hearing the remarkable story of this woman who realized so many firsts in Canadian politics, and who never stopped working for causes she believed in around the world. She is truly inspirational and her story is worth reading. ( ) ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
