If you're looking for a cute low-stakes story and if you enjoy coffee, this is the book for you. Very enjoyable and the audio narration by the author was on point. (

I'm pretty torn on this one. overall, i really enjoyed it. The writing was fun and despite there being no "big bad" or adventure plot, there were never "slow points". Things just always kept moving. Did i want to sit down and read it for hours at a time, devouring page after page like i usually do? no. but it was NICE. it felt safe and cozy, and it was just a fun little palette cleanser. i will say that there was very little explanation to the different magics, and species etc. so for those will little to no fantasy experience, it might be a bit hard to get through. but I just took it at face value and kept enjoying it with a cup of coffee and a thimblet (

Absolutely delightful. Exactly what the high fantasy genre needs. I don't usually read "low stakes", but it was absolutely something I needed after a stressful YA and a horror novel. So refreshing. I hope I can read more in this world. (
