Ladataan... Wolves (2005)– tekijä: Emily Gravett
![]() Ei tämänhetkisiä Keskustelu-viestiketjuja tästä kirjasta. Very unique illustrations in which the rabbit, the wolves, and the book the rabbit is reading all seem to jump off the page and sit in the room with the reader. The rabbit checks out a book about wolves and slowly realizes how terrifying they can be. Can be used to teach about reading, the library and about being observant. Wolves is a very "meta" book. A rabbit checks out a book about wolves from the library, and soon we don't know what resides in that book and what resides in our book. The illustrations and use of collage/photography are the focal point of the story, and they are used in such a unique way that I had to pause and really look at each page. It is a quick read, and I imagine the intricacies of it might go over some young children's heads, but they will still enjoy it nonetheless. Well that was a delightfully harsh bit of reality for a children's picture book! The rabbit is reading all about wolves from a book it borrowed from the library: what they look like, where they live, what they eat. Soon enough it finds itself to be lunch. I thought this book was clever in its design. A library book about a library book is an original idea for me. But honestly, I was a weirdly uncomfortable when the rabbit got eaten. ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
