I think the content/illustrations in this book were made very interesting for readers. First of all, the illustrations on each page are pop-up, so they are interactive and fun for students. Each page is also about a new character introduced in the story and includes their face on that page as the pop-up. The book is also well organized. Each time a new character is introduced, the next page is about them. For example, Robin's friend is introduced as John Little, who is the second page of the book. The next page is about his mate named Marion. This book is to tell the tale of Robin Hood in a fun way for readers. ( ) I had mixed feelings about this book. I did not like the language of this book because it was very hard to understand. For example, the author used older and more complex words to show the time period. The author wrote, “Come follow ye down to the deep verdant wood Where dwelt the outlaw known as Master Hood” This language would be very difficult for children to understand and comprehend. However, I liked the fact that the author used rhyming words throughout because this helped show relationships between two words with the same sounds. I also liked that this book has pop-up pictures because it was a creative way to show pictures. The pop-up pictures did a good job of showing the different characters in the story. This Modern Fantasy book had an imaginative setting. The big idea or message of this book was to show good versus evil. Many Modern Fantasy books have this general theme. näyttää 2/2 ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
