It's 1939, the heyday of radio. Larry Abbot and Vickie Pearle who star in a spine-tingling series of terror tales, are getting married. The wedding is set to take place in the Abbot family mansion, where Great Aunt Kate lives amidst howling storms, flickering candles, secret passages, and deranged servants. Since Larry, whom she raised from childhood, seems to be the least likely of being a werewolf, she's leaving her fortune to him. But he has to live to collect it and one of the money-grubbing relatives is trying to scare the life out of Larry for keeps.
