I feel like I've known main character Lucas Davenport's adopted daughter, Letty, since she was a child. Well, she's all grown up now and she's turned into her dad. In a good way...unless you're a criminal. Looking forward to this series. Expecting Letty to team up with Virgil Flowers soon! It just took a while to get to know the characters, I think. But Letty Davenport, the adopted daughter of Lucas Davenport, has an interesting background, and she surprises people who underestimate her. I thought the story was fairly believable, and even though it was about some pretty crazy revolutionaries, they weren't as over-the-top as they could have been - well, not all of them, anyway. They were misguided in a way that is understandable, considering they are from the bottom of the income group and are forced to compete for minimum wage jobs with the new immigrants. They blame the corporations for not paying them more, of course, rather than taking any responsibility for improving their lot in life.
