"Early Vermont Settlers to 1771, Northern Windsor County is the second volume in a series covering all of the settlers arriving by the end of 1771 to present-day Vermont. As the first scholarly prosopography study of the state, the project will progress geographically and provide a better understanding of the political and religious landscape of this frontier. The study project bridges the outward migration of southern New England along the northern route to the early westward settlements in New York, Ohio, Michigan, and beyond-a path often posing challenges for those researching ancestors in the Old Northwest Territories.
