The story had a slow buildup, but the cast of characters was very interesting. It took forever to get to the point of the haunting tale. Then everything happened so fast, I'm not sure I completely understood the point of the whole story. But the characters kept my attention. I'll try another one in the series. (

A long slow train wreck. If nothing had happened it would have been more surprising. (At one point I almost believed nothing would!) Still, it was an enjoyable read and the theme (The Infinite is only scary when viewed from this side of life) was refreshing in a way. (

This book is like Rose Red and Clive Barker had a baby (if it were possible for a movie and human to reproduce). It's okay, the build up was great, but when the final whammy came, it all happened so quickly that I felt let down. Really long tension, with little to no release. Meh... (

Three individuals are invited to spend time at a house with a history of hauntings and death. This seemed predictable and not as scary as anticipated. The first half of the book was better than the second half. (
