While I sometimes have mixed feelings about Aja Foxx's writing style, this one just worked for me.
The MCs were not evenly developed as Bugs was well developed but Bear - not really. The world-building was minimal. The plot was interesting in that it was in the ' medias res ' fashion where the reader is dropped into the middle of the story and the precursor action is dropped in as you go. There were holes all over the place and the editing was less than stellar, yet in spite of that, I found this a fascinating read. Perhaps because the character of Bug was so interesting. ( )
