This was a brilliant ending to a fabulous story. I've said before that I'm looking forward to rereading it, and that still stands. It was an absolutely unbelievable retelling of Peter Pan.

My favorite parts were 1) how the stories of John and Michael unfolded. So often Wendy's brothers are minor characters, but in this book, they were essential characters. They are very nearly my favorite characters. And 2) Wendy and Peter. Wendy is so self-sufficient/constantly getting herself into trouble. And Peter comes to the rescue. But she actually rescues him while getting them both into trouble at the same time. It was genius.

My beef was actually similar to the third movie of the Matrix. This was all because of a video game? It all felt a bit anti-climactic, although that didn't make the stakes any less high. Also, I totally predicted everything with Alice. I did cry at the end though, regardless of all that. Reality is tough. But it will be okay. Everything will be okay.

If you like Peter Pan or fairy tale retellings, read this trilogy. It's amazing. I am already looking forward to reading it again. ( )
