I loved how descriptive Rebecca Wells is in her writing and it was funny and interesting to see the world of Louisiana (or how some parts of it can be). I don't usually like realistic fiction all that much, but this was a good book to listen to on my long car rides to and from work because the plot was interesting and thankfully, the reader did a wonderful keeping my attention with the different voices and vocal expressions. I kept trying to figure out what the hype was all about with this book. And I admit, I felt like it was overrated. Ultimately, it was forgettable and not a book I would read again or ever recommend.
