I think the children can relate to this because the illustration of the book is like someone their age is able to draw and color it. If the children have any dogs of their own they can imagine that their dogs think the same way as this dog in this book did. ( )

This book was very easy read. The pictures in the book were good. I liked them because they looked like after the pictures had been drawn that a small child had gone over them with crayon. The book was about a dog who felt like he has been replaced once the new baby in the family has been born. He doesn't like the new baby. He ends up having puppies with the neighbors dogs and realizes that the baby isn't s bad after all. ( )

The family dog realizes that the new addition to his family has taken all the attention away from him and does not like this at all. The dog even decides to refer to the baby as Howler, but he soon realizes that Howler is not so bad. ( )
