This time Alice is in for some introspection, as her brother Kyle reaches out asking her for help after have being out of the picture for a long time. Kyle and Alice seem to be pursuing the very same suspect, the man that one betrayed their family. The plot offers an insight on Alice’s past showing hidden aspects of her personality and forcing Alice to take some hard decisions that seem to clash to her own moral commitments. Alice’s character keeps on evolving and becoming one of the more interesting female heroines in contemporary UF. As on the rest of the series all secondary characters are fully fleshed, and Kyle is an intriguing addiction to the series. The action keeps on building after the satisfactory, even if somehow unexpected end.

Taylor White’s writing is fast paced, action filled with the right amount of drama and chemistry to add romance to the adventure without overshadowing the action. It is not only a fresh brand-new take on classic Urban Fantasy elements, but also highly addictive, thus be aware, or better still …. read all books in a row and them just wait patiently for the next book….😉 ( )
