"When trust goes, how quickly love disappears and elf preservation begins." what intrigue! So many despicable characters! There is great character development throughout the novel and so many questions! Patrick the grieving, remarried widower is accused of murdering his first wife. Stephanie is the oblivious, overwhelmed new mother of twins. Erica is the conniving femme fatale. This book will leave you guessing until the end! ( )
This was an interesting thriller, there were many intersecting stories but it all comes together in the end. I love the ending and I hope that Stephanie is able to move on without further trouble. ( )
Definitely my least favorite of Shari Lapena’s works. Too many of the characters were so unlikeable and couldn’t be trusted to the point of being frustrating. I’ll say I’m happy certain characters got what they deserved but overall it was a bit predictable. ( )
