This is an amusing book with a predictable storyline of inclusion. Both the princesses and dinosaurs are initially quite mean-spirited and reject the other group. The story gets increasingly silly as the groups get more and more dismissive of the other until reaching the standard conclusion that life is better when everyone embraces their differences and plays together. The princess group is depicted in all shapes and sizes, including one that may be a boy. The dinosaurs and other characters are equally diverse and well illustrated. ( )

A fun pushmepullyou between princesses and dinosaurs with a nice acceleration in stakes. It falls apart a bit easily at the end, but my daughter liked it well enough. I thought it might become a favorite, but that doesn't seem to have happened.

The illustrations provide images of diverse princesses with their magical creatures and accessories on one side. On the facing page the dinosaurs are realistically created, but with individual characters shining through in each one. Readers will be able to engage with this book multiple times, not only due to the engaging text, but the detailed art can be examined anew each time. This is sure to be a favorite for children, whether they side with princesses or dinosaurs. ( )
