I've read and loved this whole series and throughout all the books, Christian has been in the background. You never really got to know much about him until now. He has been a quiet and very private person. While that continues in this book, we come to know a lot more about him as he goes through a number of difficult situations (I won't say anything here but they are the kind of things that bring out the best or worst in people).
Ms Charles has done an amazing job of fleshing out two great characters and lets them bring out the best in each other.
