There’s a lot of good stuff to be had here - a decent explanation of Internet subcultures, their evolution and an attempt to explain their popularity in a sociological context.
I think the author does a disservice to the reader by overstating the agency of these groups and the Internet-as-politics writ large (even so, hardly any time spent discussing Twitter?), in addition to the factual missteps recounted in other reviews.
Still, so grateful that someone is taking Marcuse into social media. ( )
