Jamie lives for surfing. Friends, Mitch & Scott, are mad keen surfers too. They are all in the local Gromz-R-Us surfing series & get up early to practice every morning.
Jamie's sister, Sky. the most popular girl in the school, is not the least bit interested in surfing, just "Mitch". She plays up to her title, much to Jamie's disgust.
Jamie is befriended by an old mal (malibu) surfer, who turns out to be a former world champion, Des Turner. He helps Jamie understand more about the ocean, waves and what it takes to be a really good surfer.
Heading up to the final, Jamie befriends the very intelligent school outsider & Sky finds out about being replaced in the school popularity stakes by the new girl.
Jamie & Sky learn alot about themselves and what is important to them by the day of the final. there is an added twist in the conclusion of the story. ( )

A novel about surfing and finding who you are with a twist at the end . (PLOT SPOILER– the main character is actually a girl – even though her twin sister is a total priss; she is a real tom boy who learns from an old surfer to surf properly and to just be herself.)
