This book is not a standalone. If you haven't read the first 2 books, immediately put this one down, read them, and then come back to this.

Elena and Mateo are back. She's still trying to stick to her plan of finding out what happened to her twin, Eva. Mateo is like a pool of sticky quicksand made with molasses. He keeps dragging her further and further in, into his life, his world, and into love with him. She keeps trying to figure out everything, but Mateo is so far ahead of her that she won't ever catch up and each time she tries to get an answer from him, she gets 14 more questions.

I can't even describe how I felt about this book. I got all the answers that I wanted from it. I loved everything that happened in it. It was the perfect book to end the series off. I'm only sad that I finished it because I will never be able to read the series for the first time ever again. ( )

Good lord. This series was a ride. This was a great way to end this dark and twisty series. So many secrets and players in this game. Pretty gruesome and dark. Yet, sometimes the most turbulent and twisted make for the best journey. ( )
