York is lonely after seeing three of his crew mates bond with mates he decides to find a mate of his own. Unfortunately the one he found is a raving bitch. Sara is a human turned over to aliens in exchange for technology. She thought she was to be wed to an alien but it turned out she was being sold into slavery. She's rescued but no one on the planet likes humans. When she see's York being badly mistreated she feels badly for him and fate seems to want them together as she ends up meeting him again where she works. Short story short she saves him from a truly awful bonding and he saves her from the planet. Their story of love resolves pretty quickly, with Sara learning to adjust to ship life and being mated to a cuddly blue guy, then moving the story to the dangers of the Vorge crew.

This is a sweet short story, with the couple saving each other and forming a sweet loving bond. We also get to see everyone on the ship again and learn more about Raff. Nice quick read.
