Entertainingly ridiculous nonsense that sees private eye Barry Haven (Matthew Sullivan) being hired by Jane (Leslie Zemeckis) to track down her runaway sister. He gets a tip that the missing sister may be in the village of Lost Lake where he bumps into the blonde hitchhiker Trix (Jacqueline Lovell). Luckily for Barry, not only is she into free-spirited sex, but she turns out to be a better sleuth than him and is soon to the trail of an occult group called the Daughters of Darkness. Led by the raven-haired Connie (Shauna O'Brien), Barry finds himself become a target for the Daughters - which appears to entail capturing him, drugging him and subjected him to copious amounts of seductive sex. Oddly Barry isn't too cool with this and fears Connie and her sex crew may have something more sinister in mind for him. "Damien's Seed" has a ridiculous plot that is obvious and transparent but does offer enough functional narrative on which to hang the many softcore romps. There are a myriad of plot holes, unresolved digressions and pointless characters to provide plenty of chuckles and unintended laughs. Despite the b-movie aesthetics and low budget there is some decent photography and some decent location work. The warty Matthew Sullivan doesn't make for an appealing lead but Shauna O'Brien and Leslie Zemeckis bring plenty of sex appeal. Overall "Damien's Seed" is silly and superficial with a ludicrous plot, but despite that it is stupidly watchable. ( ) ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu
