Harrow County is a charming, yet foreboding small town nestled within North Carolina. Emmy, a farmer's daughter is having nightmares of an evil entity stalking her. Is it real or is just a figment of her imagination? Slowly the truth is reveal and Emmy can't seem to trust anyone around or herself for that matter. The pacing is quick, but not lightning fast, which makes the immersion that much more thrilling. The characters are humble and mostly sweet almost saccharine especially in regards to Emmy that its hard not to feel terribly attached to them. It has a strange but alluring combination of of Norman Rockwell themes mixed in with modern Southern Gothic elements that truly sets it apart from most horror graphic novels. ( )
