Misty [1976 film]

Strange, melancholic, low-budget affair from Joe Sarno that sees a young waif-like woman drifting into a remote seaside town in the middle of a storm looking for the mother that abandoned her as a baby. The film has a strange, haunted sexually-obsessive feel, that is made stranger by the odd dialogue and the continued recital if the tragic "Ballad of Melissa Gray", about a vengeful moon goddess. Far from being a good film, it's is still strangely captivating in its downbeat, fairy-tale style oddness. ( )
