It was super fun and interesting to be in all the characters heads throughout this novel. It def made me understand all these characters and see them more as 3D character. I thought Ariel the character had such a unique arc in this novel and it def let it open for a sequel. I just found this be a super fun read and hope to read more of them in the future! I really enjoyed the duel focus on Ariel and Eric and how much we learned about them! I thought the book was on the longer side and thought it could have been condensed a tad but overall I found the story and plot to be compelling to read! Several years have passed and Ursula/Vanessa is working her evil in Eric's kingdom. Can Ariel and friends eventually succeed over Ursula with their own scheming? I didn't really understand the whole "Prince Eric and his musical/opera ambitions" in this one. But it was interesting, as always in retellings, to see things from another point of view. I was so excited when I discovered the Twisted Tales, but after reading the Belle one and then this, I think I’m done with the series. They just seem to drag. I so appreciate the creativity of a “what if” alternate plot line to a classic tale, but these are weighed down too much. (
