The nice thing about this book in particular is the change from vampire dynamics into were dynamics, and the fact that the mystery actually had me pretty stumped. Things I continue to dislike about this series: Sookie is like a fanfiction Mary Sue-- everybody just loves her, despite her rather bland personality that is still portrayed much better than almost every other female in the series; and that the mystery is only really properly brought to conclusion in the last couple of pages in the book.
