In this third installment of the adventurous ‘Dragon Smugglers in Space’ series, starring a mixed group of shifter species, the focus is on Adam. As one of the pleasure slaves who escaped from the sharkshifter planet and were rescued by Axel, dragonshifter and captain of the spaceship Shark Fin, Adam thought he would be safe on Saturn and left the ship when it docked there. Nobody had expected the sharkshifters to be tenacious enough to keep going after the slaves, but they are, and they soon recapture Adam. This is his story, and it is full of suspense, action, and a few surprises.

Adam is an omega wolf, and he hates having been recaptured. The other slaves were sent back to the sharkshifter planet, but for some reason his cruel jailors keep him behind. He is scared out of his wits, and when it turns out he is to be sold to an old sharkshifter, he is ready to take his life before going back to being abused again. But then the guard who has been tasked with ”roughing him up” for the old man’s pleasure turns out to be Adam’s mate… and everything changes.

Setana may be a dragonshifter and a warrior, but he is just as much a slave as Adam. His master is none other than General Ren, the cruel sharkshifter who owned most of the escaped slaves. Setana has been serving the general for many years and, in fact, is about to earn his freedom. There is nothing he wants more… until he meets Adam, figures out the man is his mate, and nothing becomes more important than protecting Adam against anyone who wants to hurt him.

If you like stories about slaves fighting for their freedom, if you want to see a hardened warrior fall for a former pleasure slave and decide to protect the weaker man no matter what the consequences, and if you’re looking for a read full of fear, action, suspense, shock, and some very hot loving leading to an unexpected pregnancy, then you will probably like this novella.
