Tuper is an aging cowboy from Montana with the looks of Sam Elliott and a way with guns, gambling and women. He also has a way with solving crime. When he is approached by a woman pleading with him to find her 5 year old son who was taken from school how can he refuse. But Tuper soon finds out that one mystery leads to another.

Once again Teresa has written characters that you can't help but like. From Clarice the bartender to Lana the young woman who happens into Tupers life and seems quite content to stay there. With mad computer skills Lana helps Tuper on the case while hiding a secret from her past. Mason's Missing is a fast paced read with twists and turns that keeps you guessing. If you have read any of the Advocate books then you know what to expect...books that are a sheer pleasure to read and characters that feel like family. Mason's Missing did not disappoint and hats off to the beginning of another great series. ( )

This is a spin-off of The Advocate series. Tuper has been hired to find a kidnapped child. He knows something is not right with the story he has been given but he cannot figure out what is wrong. Lana enters his life the same night he was hired. Turns out she is good with computers and can help in his investigation. She uncovers more than either of them expected.

I liked this story. It is fast moving. Tuper and Lana are fun. Tuper is pig-headed and stubborn but so is Lana and Lana talks to herself as she works out scenarios for what could have happened in the lives that cross theirs during the investigation. Tuper also “knows” people and can get the help he needs when he needs it. Watching Tuper and Lana spar with each other made me chuckle at times. The investigation was interesting and intriguing. I read the book in one sitting. I was hooked and had to find out what happened and why.

I think this is the first book in the series. I cannot wait for more with these characters ( )
