It wasn’t quite as good as the others. But it was important to learn more about Azar and what his plans are and we learned a bit more about how the drakoni on the other side of the Rift. And while I am curious to get to Amy’s story, I think I need a small break from this world. Smokin' Emma and Zohr pick up from the end of the last book. Emma knows what she has to do to make a drakoni sane again, and she needs Zohr to be sane. So, she mates him. But she's the ultimate loner, and she's not sure how she feels about Zohr. He, however, is positive about how he feels about her. It's a great story, with a nice lead in for the rest of the series. I really like Emma. She's tough and ready to protect Zohr even though she isn't sure how she feels about him. näyttää 5/5 ei arvosteluja | lisää arvostelu

There's only one way to tame a dragon.Emma Arroyo knows this. She also knows that the big golden dragon captured by her brother's biker gang is in trouble, and it's all her fault. He followed her scent, and now his life is in danger. She has to fix this, somehow. If she could talk to the dragon, they could form a plan to escape, both of them. But the dragon's mind is wild and full of uncontrollable, killing rage. There's no reasoning with him. There's certainly no freeing him, not when he's like this. But Emma can't leave without him. There's only one way to solve this problem - a mating. When Emma approaches Zohr to claim him as hers, she realizes just what it means to be a dragon's mate, and how much she's in over her head...And she learns how fiercely possessive a drakoni male can be. Emma was lovely at the beginning, I liked her shyness, and passion, her instinct for surviving and her care. But as the book proceeds, she became a little annoying, and in the end, I pretty much didn't like her (not hate). What she did with Azar was strong, but really not gentle, and I kinda get Sasha's feelings.
Zohr was great, but one idea more possessive. But I liked him. He was strong and wanted to do the best for his mate. He took care of her, kept her safe, and loved her. Which was everything he needed to do {I love alpha males and this is something I really missed with this character}. But her was pretty much likable.
The character who I least expected to like in the book was Azar. Like... That's the man I want. He was controlling, knowing what he wants, knowing what he needs to sacrifice, knowing the price of his life. This really got me.
I don't think there were really ant plot twists, but that's fine, cause everything else was good.
