This is a lovely way to reconnect with the characters several years after the end of book one. There is a small amount of angst but overall it is a sweet tale of acceptance and coming home.
I like that the author didn't take the obvious route with regard to Jacob's family
I sometimes struggle with the way kids are portrayed in stories but the children here are delightful esp Tad.
A gorgeous little sequel.
Now I can't wait to get my hands on the next book of the series. Mal's story! (
